Use this free disc tool from Easeus
Works with xp/vista/windows 7
Down load the free version from
http://www.easeus.com/disk-copy/download the iso to your pc desktop
create a bootable cd/dvd /from the iso file.
If you have Nero installed just click on the iso.
A bootable cd/dvd will be created.
Fit the new hard disc drive.
Boot the new dvd/cd
Just select copy from you old disc to your new drive.
Works just like Norton Ghost.
I like this better than Norton Ghost and Easus is so easy to Use.
